Kortman Masonry Case Study

Kortman Masonry, Grandville, MI

Video to demonstrate capabilities and highlight a major project.

Kortman Masonry is a masonry contractor based in Grandville, MI. They need videos and photos that they can use on their website, social media, and when pitching potential projects. For this project, we are visiting the Hastings Project which is a large apartment development in Hastings, MI. We are filming at key completion points throughout the project to capture video footage and photos.  Each shoot day also includes licensed drone footage. The project is ongoing, with more deliverables on the way.

  • On-site video and photos shot as the project progresses

Update 1: the first walls go up

The first visit to the Hastings project. Block walls going up, the crew at work, and aerial shots of the project. Crafted into a short update video that Kortman Masonry could share to show the project start and progress.

Shot from the ground and the air

Each film day mixes drone footage with ground-level video. The drone shows the scale of the project. The handheld camera shows closeups of the work happening along with interviews of the owner and project foreman.

Winter update: the same site, months later

The next update video captures not only job progress but working in the brutal winter conditions. Masonry in the winter requires additional steps like heating to keep mortar from freezing. The way this project is set up allows for a unique mix of footage and gives a true idea of how a project looks from start to completion.

More updates are coming soon!
